Under the current FPTP method, the 107 seats in Ontario's Legislature will be allocated by:
Liberal 71
PCs 26
NDP 10
Greens 0 for a total of 107 seats
The Liberals needed 54 seats for a majority, which they attained.
As per the referendum questions, the legislature would expand to 129 seats. 65 Seats would be required for a majority. I allocated the 90 ridings, at the same ratio as 107 seats were choosen. (ie the Liberals won 2/3 of 90 seats. Remaining seats represent the 39 At-large seats, used to bring the representation, in the legislature, to proportions approximating the actual popular vote.
Liberal 60
PCs 40
NDP 20
Greens 9 for a total of 129 Seats.
With MMP the Liberals would need another 5 seats in order to form a majority government. Given the Liberal-Green federal relationship, I would assume the same in Ontario would occur.
A coalition with the Greens would result in a slight greening of the Liberal platform, possibly with respect its' environmental policies. The Premier may nominate a Green Party MMP as the Minister of the Environment.
This is the compromise MMP would have brought to governance in Ontario. Smaller parties that did not reach the 3% of formal votes threshold, would not participate in legislature.
I'd like to comment on the possibility that MMP would result in a rush to create more smaller, single issue parties, which could some day hold considerable influence in creating a future government. I would ask why are these parties popping up? What is their motivation?
In my case, since I have been able to vote, I have voted Conservative, until this past election, where I voted for the Greens. My concerns were not being addressed by the PCs, so I turned to an Greens where their platform was in tune with my priorities.

Ontario Election Follow-up
Congrats to Mr. Wayne Varcoe, of the Green Party, for your 3rd. place finish in Simcoe North.
The referendum for voter reform failed because Mr. McGuinty allowed for it's defeat, in they way he implemented the process, at the last minute. Had the voters been given 2 years to discuss, debate and educate themselves, on this issue, I'm confident it would have passed. We have missed a great opportunity, and who knows when will get a chance again to reform our voter method. Maybe we'll see another Citizen's Assembly established, in the blog-is-sphere!
How will Simcoe North (a bastion of Blue Toryism) fare in the new McGuinty government? Not well! Rewards go to the victors. See how much $$$ will start flowing into the victorious Liberal riding of Barrie. Again Barrie wins, Orillia looses!
What I want to see from the next legislature in Queen's Park? Freedom for our MPPs. Now that the campaign is over, forget what the candidates promised to you, they're now the exclusive property of their party. They no longer have a mind of their own. They will be told how to act, and more importantly, how they will have to vote.
For my fellow citizens who decided not to exercise your right to vote, your pathetic! Over 4,000,000 electors never bothered to get off their asses. Your inaction shamed every service person, past and present, who sacrificed their time, in order to give you the your right to vote. Voting is not a right, it is a priviledge. Given 30 minutes, once every 4 years is not much to ask, is it?
If I had my way I would publish the names of each elector who did not vote. Maybe next time you would be shamed into voting! In Australia voting is manditory. Your fined if you don't vote. It's time to think about making it manditory here. A $20 fine for every non-voter would equal $80,000,000.
Don't tell me it was too inconvenient to vote. Steps were taken this election, to be more convenient and accessible. Hell, when I was living in Australia, I was able to vote.
Inconvenient no, lazy citizens yes.
Bottom line we have a government we deserve. Don't blame the politicians, if they don't act they way you want. Blame it on the actions of voters, and the inactions of the non-voters.
We are the ones who have set this table. We have to now eat what we have ordered.
