Ontario's Premier Calls Bye-elections for Feb. 8

These bye-elections will allow the parties to preview their platforms leading to this falls general election. We'll be able to get a good idea what the priorities of the parties are, from the way they rank their platforms.

Today, I visited to the websites of the 3 Liberal candidates, and none of them made note of the current property tax system as an issue. Interesting! Though these 3 ridings do vary greatly from my own of Ramara Twp, in the riding of Simcoe North, we do have the same outrageous property tax increases, in common. I believe the candidates will need to state theirs and that of their party, at some point during the campaign.

The current property tax mess is my #1 election issue, and I will be watching carefully how the Liberals and Conservative tackle the issue.
